SUMMARY:Apply to be a Project Advisor in a NEA Research Study
DESCRIPTION:The National Eczema Association (NEA) would like to invite one patient and one caregiver to serve as project advisors for an upcoming research study on atopic dermatitis flares and the concept of remission. NEA believes in involving the community in research that is about them\, and this project advisor role for the study is a way for the patient/caregiver perspective to be included more holistically within the entire lifecycle of a research study. \nThe time commitment will be 17-20 hours total over the course of 1.5 years (from September 2025 to approximately May 2027) and you will be compensated for your time with an honoraria of $1\,100. Plus\, you will be listed as an author in the resulting publications from this study! \nThe activities will include both meeting virtually via Zoom to discuss with NEA research staff and reflecting independently on your own time on the results at different stages of the study as well as advising on materials for different aspects of the study. In addition\, you will have an opportunity to review and make comments from the patient/caregiver perspective on the two research abstracts and two scholarly articles that will be drafted by the NEA research team\, as well as help write the plain language summary for each article. \nWe are prioritizing individuals who have a proven track record of participation and follow-through on previous opportunities. It is also helpful if you have experience with being in “remission” or experiencing “low disease activity” – whatever that may look like to you! \nIf you are interested in this opportunity\, please submit your application here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6KDJ3W8 \nThis is a time limited opportunity\, so please apply by August 25th to be considered. \nIf you have questions\, please reach out to Isabelle Thibau at isabelle@nationaleczema.org.

SUMMARY:Eczema Remission Research Focus Group
DESCRIPTION:Dear Ambassadors\, \nWe are looking for caregivers of children with atopic dermatitis who will be involved in several aspects of a Remission Research study through December 2026. \nIn this research project we will be developing a patient-centered definition of ‘remission’ and would like to utilize the perspectives and experiences of Focus Group participants to get a better sense of how patients and caregivers define the word ‘remission’ as it pertains to their atopic dermatitis. \nYou must be an adult (18+ years)\, a US resident\, and caregiver of a child diagnosed by a healthcare provider with atopic dermatitis. We are looking for a diversity of participant characteristics and experiences\, including those who consider themselves “in remission” or having “low disease activity.” \nFocus Group engagement will entail participation in a virtual focus group\, 3-4 online questionnaires\, and a virtual discussion. Total time commitment estimated to be 6-8 hours. Participating Ambassadors will receive an honorarium of $400. \nIf you are a caregiver of a child with eczema who is interested in joining the Eczema Remission Research Focus Group\, complete the questionnaire by October 24\, 2025.

SUMMARY:Medical Student Awareness Interest Form
DESCRIPTION:Dear Ambassadors\, \nWe’re thrilled to present a new opportunity to raise awareness about eczema within the medical student community! \nEczema significantly impacts patients’ quality of life\, yet medical students often receive limited education on its management.
