SUMMARY:Medical Student Awareness Interest Form
DESCRIPTION:Dear Ambassadors\, \nWe’re thrilled to present a new opportunity to raise awareness about eczema within the medical student community! \nEczema significantly impacts patients’ quality of life\, yet medical students often receive limited education on its management. Enhancing their understanding before they enter the field ensures better patient care. Hearing directly from the patient community provides invaluable insights into the daily challenges of living with eczema\, fostering empathy and comprehensive care. \nIf selected\, you\, as an NEA Ambassador\, may have the chance to educate medical students on the lived experience\, the burden of eczema\, its prevalence\, and the unique needs of our community. This opportunity would involve delivering a 45-minute virtual presentation (via Zoom) in collaboration with a NEA staff member\, sharing your personal experiences to shape these students’ perspectives and knowledge. \nIf chosen for this role\, Ambassadors will be asked to: \n\nAttend a 30-minute introductory call with NEA staff.\nReview training resources provided by NEA to prepare for the presentation.\nCollaborate on the PowerPoint presentation\, incorporating your personal experience as an adult with eczema or as a caregiver of a child with eczema.\nCo-facilitate a 45-minute Zoom presentation.\nParticipate in a Q&A session\, responding to medical students’ questions.\nFollow the NEA Ambassadors Etiquette and Best Practices guidelines.\nComplete the Ambassador Activity Reporting Form after the presentation.\n\nTo express your interest in participating in this opportunity\, please complete the following questions below.
